He worked at WNBC New York for more than 25 years – from 1958 to 1984, then moved cross-town to WCBS, and ended his TV career at WWOR in 2004. During his time at WNBC, he added degrees in geology and optometry at Columbia University, then a doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine adding health and science reporting to his broadcast portfolio.
