Five Northeast Telemundo stations are collaborating on a weekday evening half-hour show, Edicion Nocturna, that’s yielding new lessons in cooperation while drawing on time-honored methods in newscast production.

Tony Canales will lead KXAS-KXTX in Dallas-Fort Worth, while Hank Guerrero is tapped to oversee WVIT and WRDM in Hartford, Conn.

Hartford-New Haven, Conn., has long enjoyed its location, situated roughly midway between Boston and New York. The urban bookends offer more than metropolitan proximity. As the nation crawls out of the pandemic, the Connecticut market is seeing more and more big-city refugees move in.
