WNBC Names Kuperstein Weekend Evening Anchor
NBC-owned WNBC New York (DMA 1) on Monday named veteran journalist Adam Kuperstein as the station’s new weekend evening anchor, joining Jummy Olabanji for the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts on Saturdays and Sundays. Kuperstein will also provide general assignment coverage on weekdays. He will join WNBC in September.
Kuperstein has been serving as weekday news and sports anchor for NBC’s WTVJ Miami for more than a decade.
Kuperstein joined WTVJ in 2005 from WUPW Toledo, Ohio where he was the weekend sports anchor. He also served as weekend sports anchor for WHIZ Zanesville, Ohio.
Kuperstein is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and earned a dual bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and finance. While at Syracuse, he announced football, basketball and lacrosse games on the university’s WAER
