Executive Producer

Job Summary:

• The executive producer is a leader in the newsroom who will supervise the work of others.
• They manage a team of direct and indirect reports to include writers, producers, editors, anchors, reporters, assignment editors and planners, and digital staff.
• Responsible for recruiting and interviewing, managing the daily affairs of the team, and cultivating a productive and supported work environment.
• Produce timely and compelling newscasts that are editorially and visually dynamic, including content in the field and news specials.
• Develop and assemble content on multiple platforms.
• Must have strong knowledge of social media and be able to incorporate and showcase content from multiple platforms into newscasts.
• Will work closely with news management to continually evolve our newscasts.
• Other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by the news director and assistant news director.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field.

Job Summary:

• The successful producer is a talented and nimble visionary, storyteller, writer, and editor who is able to use and adapt these skills as needed.

• FOX 5 producers take the lead and are responsible for their projects from conception to completion.
• This includes pitching ideas to management, coordinating and directing video and still photography shoots, interacting with a variety of personnel in the station, departments, outside vendors, and more.

What you are bringing:

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum three (3) years promotions experience in a top 20 market.

• Exceptional creativity in the development of compelling marketing materials, promos for all mediums including broadcast (TV/Radio), digital, and print.
• Must have knowledge of all aspects of production, including lighting, photo, video, and print composition, directing video/print shoots.
